A Room, A Rug, and a Show

Today is the day we head down to Diane's to set up for tomorrow's Molly Mo's show. I still have a ton of stuff to do, but I'm not worried. As I have gotten older, I tend to worry less. What gets done, gets done and what doesn't...well, I guess it will get done some other day. That seems to be my philosophy lately. I used to stress out a lot more. I think I am a lot happier with this attitude. Anyway, yesterday I cleaned up my bedroom and took a few pictures of some of my collections so I thought I would share them.

This is on one wall of my bedroom. My collection of small rose oil paintings lives here along with a few treasured photos, some of my many tole trays, a bird cage and some other misc. nic naks. Also pictured is my maniquin who wears my necklaces and a vintage nightgown which I change periodically. Isn't she pretty? I apologize for my less than perfect pictures. Just got a new camera for my birthday and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it. The picture on the left is the same wall of my bedroom, just a little further down. Here I have a cute pink quilt rack with another collection of roses paintings, two quilts and a sweet vintage child's nightgown. The cabinet you see is one of my first vintage finds and I love it. It holds a lot of stuff (aka, clutter). My yellow and white corner cabinet holds lots more tole trays, a couple rose hat boxes, a vintage fan, my porcelain posy collection and some little ceramic baskets with roses.

Here is a closer up picture:

The other day I was dinking around on craigslist and I spotted a really cute floral vintage hooked rug for sale for $35.00! I have been looking for a replacement rug for the one I had to get rid of because it kept buckling and my husband would trip over it and complain about it at least once a day. So, I called the woman on the listing and she said I could come over right away and look at it which of course I did as she wasn't too far away. Very nice gal and the rug was wonderful! Here it is:

I just love it! I tried to get a picture of it showing where it is in my room, but the close up shows it off better.

Isabel and I are going to hit a barn sale in our town this morning. I know I should be getting ready for the sale, but how could I possibly pass up a barn sale. Treasures to be had, I'm sure.

LOVE the tole trays! I have one of the smaller ones, that is white with a pink rose, in my guest bedroom. FAB collection! Looks like out of a magazine! Becky
