Busy, busy me!

Wow, I sure got a lot done yesterday. Started my blog, made a shopping cart liner, recovered a vanity bench, recovered a crib cushion, painted a metal message rack thingy, and put cute vintage fabric on a denim jacket. Oh, I also found and bought a cute folding room divider on craigslist, made some vintage wallpaper tags and walked for an hour. Here is a picture of my projects.

Sounds like I am an over achiever, huh? Well, I don't usually whip out that many projects in one day. In fact, a lot of the time I am just a lazy bum watching movies all day in between fixing meals for my kids. Summer is a great time to be lazy, don't you agree? Kids are home, you don't have to rush out the door in the morning. I found if I don't get started early in the morning with projects though, not a lot gets done. My house, if you could see it now, is a total disaster. I keep joking with my husband that we need to have a big party just so I will clean the house. Today will be more of the same. I have another cart liner cut out and ready to sew and I would like to make another denim jacket if I have the time.

A Blog? Really?

Well, my good friend Joy just started her blog yesterday and since I've been toying with the idea of starting one myself, I decided to give it a try. I am not very computer savy so I will just try to muddle through and learn as I go. This week is a busy one getting ready for Molly Mo's Summer Antique Sale which is being held at my friend Diane's house in Sublimity, OR this Saturday. I am really excited about it as I know there will be lots of goodies to buy and hopefully I will sell some stuff too. My friend and biz partner, Isabel and I have a booth at a fabulous antique mall here in Oregon called, Monticello. Some of you may have heard of it. It was featured in the March issue of Romantic Homes Magazine. Anyway, it is our favorite place to shop for vintage treasures, so about a year ago we decided to set up shop there and sell some of our finds. We are both very crafty and love to give vintage items new life with paint and/or fabric. Our homes are filled to the brims with all of our finds and we are constantly working on projects to sell. I hope to be able to share some of my projects with you on this blog.
