My Prize

Here are Isabel and me in front of our booth.
I am wearing two of the slips you may remember me getting at the Lake Oswego Antique Show.
It was a perfect day at the Oregon City Antique Show. A little sunny, a little cloudy. Much better than last year when it was super hot. We had a pretty good show. Isabel did better than I did, but we both wish we would have sold some bigger items. I felt like I took as much home as I got there with. But it doesn't matter, we had fun and I scored the best thing first thing in the morning while we were setting up.

Out of the corner of my eye I spotted some cute vintage roses wallpaper on what looked like a screen. On closer inspection I saw that it was a little cabinet/wardrobe. I loved it and it was only $40. Had to have it. Here is a close up of the wallpaper on the side. It is a little more faded on the front. I have the perfect spot for it in my house. Of course it will require getting rid of something else, but oh well. This is by far one of the coolest things I have ever found. Did I mention that there is a little rod for hanging things on the inside and someone put a curtain rod on the outside which I can take off no problem. All my friends at the show were saying what a great find it was and Isabel has already asked me to put her name on it if I decide to ever get rid of it. ha ha
I had quite a bit of time to walk around and of course I managed to buy a few other things too. I found an adorable vintage floral bedspread/coverlet. It is in like new condition, don't know if I will be able to cut it up for the fabric. I also found a cute silver box with scrolly/floral detail on the outside. I think it was suppose to be a soap holder, but I am going to use it for pins. Isabel found some vintage rose wallpaper for us and lastly I found a vendor that had bags of paper scraps (my latest obsession). I bought 4 of them. So, I didn't get too crazy.
Joy and Diane were selling at the show too. I think they did pretty well. It was fun to see them. Now I am exhausted. I think I will take it easy today. I have neglected the housework last week getting ready for the sale so I guess I should do a little of that.
But, before I go, here is one of the dressers I got last week. I actually got three dressers last week, but only managed to take a picture of this one. I am not a huge blue person, but I think this one is pretty cute. I love the feet.
Have a great week!
P. S. I did sell that shopping cart shown in my last post. Yeah!

Hi Lisa
Are you as tired as I am??? My body is crying but I had so much fun I told it to relax. Besides I have too much to do... Your pictures are beautiful. The ones of the shop make it look better than it is. It would be fun to take some when it was in tip top shape!! I guess the same could be said for the body too!!
Love you
JOY
