Weekend Projects

I had a very productive weekend, filled with both indoor and outdoor projects.  My creative mojo is back and I couldn’t be happier.  Nothing like a little sunny weather after a long, wet winter to improve ones mood.

004

This sweet dresser was a Goodwill find. (Thanks Mitzi!) All it needed was a little sanding and some cute glass knobs from my stash.

003

This little cabinet was also a Goodwill find. It already had the bin pulls, but the ugly glitter glue on the top was not so attractive.  I stripped the top, gave the rest a good sanding and then put some of my favorite stained wax on the top boards.  Love it and all its rustic cuteness.

I was also busy working in the house packaging up some adorable ephemera that I’m de-stashing.  Didn’t take any pictures of that, but I did work on some jewelry making as well.

008

Love this necklace.  It was a simple silver locket that I attached a extra large rhinestone button to the top and added a silver chain.  Much prettier in person.  Seriously thinking about keeping this one myself.

013

I also attached some vintage bling to some business card holders.  I should have taken the picture before packaging, but I was feeling overzealous and couldn’t wait to package them up.

009

These cute hair pins are always big sellers at my booths and shows.

012

I even made a couple vintage bling hair combs. Love the way they turned out.

Did some painting yesterday too, but nothing ready to share here.  It felt so good being out in the sunshine.  Hope wherever you are, you are having a sunny and creative day!

Gosh! You got a lot done! Everything looks great, too.

We've got gorgeous weather right now, but allergies are in full attack mode for me. I'm not enjoying much of anything but the couch.

Cuteness Lisa! Too funny, I've been working on some "hair pins" as of late too. I bought a bag of old Clip on Earrings from Mary at R&R not knowing what I was going to do with them,,,,,Voila! Hair Bling!

Oh My Stars, I cannot even tell you how glad I've been to at least see GLIMPSES of the sun "Up here!" What a year we've had!

Glad your creative juices are flowing! Love the Furniture too!

Have a Great Week! (I'll not get much ELSE done besides getting ready for our parade and Bonnet Contest on Sat! Say a little prayer that it's at LEAST not raining, although Sunny and Warm would be quite the Concept!)

Hugs and Love,
Shell

You are working hard -- the furniture is beautiful! Glitter glue? Glad to know that's gone. :-) Hope to snag some of those sweet hair pins at Farm Chicks.

Have a great day!

Hi Lisa! I think you found some wonderful things, but I'm especially fond of your lovely jewelry in the creative packaging. Precious! I've been slowly warming up and getting more done around here too. It's been a miserable spring. Hopefully, we'll see some warmer weather now.

Happy Easter,
Mitzi Curi

Love this post! I'm a struggling college student blogging about living on an EXTREMELY tight budget, and I LOVE finding little tidbits like this! That dresser is perfectly shabby chic!
