Finally, a White Wednesday Post

Since we got back from our Spring Break trip, I have been busy hunting and gathering.  Sales have been great at my mall spaces, so I need new (old) inventory to stock up my booths.  Also, I am in full on preparation mode for the Farm Chicks show coming up in less than 2 months.  Seems like a long time to prepare, but I have lots and lots of projects to complete before it’s time to pack up and head to Spokane.

Thought I’d show you a few items I have found recently that are appropriate for a White Wednesday post.

001I found this awesome display cabinet on Craigslist. It was made out of four old windows and some cast iron stove legs.  I think it is super cool and so perfect to take to Farm Chicks.

014Here’s another little cabinet/dresser I just found yesterday.  I love its size and shape.  It will also be accompanying me to FC in June.

And finally, I thought I would show you a couple new keeper items I have found.

I spotted the shabby stripped cabinet awhile ago at a local antique shop and it was love at first sight.  The problem was, I didn’t have anything wide enough to hold it. On the day I drove out to pick up the window display cabinet (first picture), I stopped at the Goodwill and found the perfect dresser.  All I had to do is give it a light sanding and change out the knobs and it was a marriage made in heaven. I love it! Sorry I couldn’t get a very good picture.  It has been so cloudy and wet here lately.  I’m hoping for some better weather later this week.

On another note, the Home & Garden Show at Monticello starts this Friday.

I have seen a few sneak peeks on various blogs and I have to say how impressed I am with the wonderful vendors/merchandise that will be available.  If you can, I would definitely recommend you come to Monticello.  If you can’t make it Friday, that’s okay.  The sale will continue through May 30th with vendors restocking frequently.

Be back soon with some more great finds.

Love that cabinet made from old windows. Your new hutch marriage worked out perfectly. I'm hoping to make it to Monticello's for the garden show.

Wow - you never disappoint with your incredible finds! That glass display with the iron feet is amazing. And so is the stripped cabinet -- I think I need to stalk you so I can have this kind of luck at Goodwill! :-) Have a great day Lisa!

Oh, wow! Now I'm wanting to find a stove base and some windows! Only a few months ago the stove base I'd had forever finally sold. Now I want it back. LOL
The dresser is darling and the cabinets -- wonderful! And how cool to find the perfect fit dresser!
