Road Trip Finds

Since getting back from my UK trip, I haven’t done a lot in the way of thrifting/junking. Recently after taking my #1 girl school clothes shopping, we made a mini road trip out the Plucky Maidens Vintage Sale. It was a beautiful day, great vendors and lots of shoppers.  I wasn’t really thinking I would buy anything, but I did come home with these.

An adorable French fabric covered box, two vintage beaded purses and a sweet vintage coin purse with rhinestones.

We also went on another little road trip down to Salem and Eugene, where we stopped at several thrift stores along the way.  Lighting and lampshades were a theme for me.

Vintage dresses were another.

Love the sweet detail on this one.

007

Even the back was cute.

008

Love this little black and white square dance dress.

009

Not sure if this one was a dress or costume.  Cute either way!

This yellow and white gingham was a little homemade number.

My best score of the weekend had to be this though

I’ve had one of these before and I sold it to Isabel before it made it to the antique mall. This one is kind of greenish gold in color and, I think, just needs a little cleaning before it makes it’s way over to Stars.

I’ll be back soon with another England post.

Great finds and glad to hear you made it to Plucky Maidens, it was such a great show. I hope they make it an annual event.

Do you go to Glory Days Antiques when you are down in Springfield? If not, you should try it next time. Lots of your kind of stuff and Colby Cottage has the whole back barn area (with a new Salvage Area).

this made me homesick. I just love London. I loved the other pictures too. I now live in Michigan and have only been home 3 times in 40 odd years. Not by choice but finaces. Love seeing those places again.
Thank you
Janice
