Great Weekend

My great weekend started off Friday night when my sweetie and I went to see the B52’s. The concert was fabulous! I thought for sure I would lose my voice from all the yelling and singing I was doing.  After 30 plus years they still got it.  My only complaint is they didn’t play long enough.

Saturday, Isabel and I left very early to drive to Yakima.  Just under a 4 hour trip.  We went to the super awesome Clayson Farms Antique Sale.  So fun bumping into Joe & Jermonne, and Cindy who were there shopping.  We also got to visit with Joe and Sue, Julie and Mike and Joy and Dave who were all there selling up a storm.  I also got to meet Colleen.  Thanks so much to Isabel for taking this picture.

Meeting Colleen was definitely a highlight. She is every bit as sweet and full of humor as her blog suggests.  Wish she didn’t live so far away as I would definitely want to make her my BFF and hang out with her as much as possible.  On second thought, I’m sure she’s glad she doesn’t live closer.  ha ha Colleen, if you are reading this, I hope I didn’t scare you with my stalkerish behavior.  It was really great to finally meet you!

There was so much good stuff at this sale and I saw lots and lots of sold stickers on so many things I would love to have bought.  Here’s what I did buy.

Cute dolly, shopping cart, two vintage ticking pillows and letter S.

Crusty metal table with no top.  Love the scrolly detail.

Cute white cabinet with zinc lined drawers.  I’m thinking I’m going to use this in the garden shed my husband is finally getting ready to build in the backyard.  Stay tuned for pictures of that.

A cool black chippy hanging thingy. I also bought a bunch of zinc lids for old jars from Sue.  Love them and I never find them.  Thanks Sue for giving me a good deal!

And finally,

I got this metal and wood cart at an “estate” sale on our way home.  It was the only thing there that looked the least bit interesting.  It’s pretty dirty, so it will be getting a clean up soon.

Sunday was a super fun day too.  I went with my family out in the boat at Hagg Lake.  It was super hot, so for me, it was the best place to be.  No pictures as I promised the kids I wouldn’t.

Anyway, that’s it for now.  Got some projects to work on for the upcoming Coburg Antique Faire, my final show of the season. Will be back soon!

Just when I thought the buys couldn't get any better, the picture of the cart scrolls up. Oh, man! I love it!
Sounds like you did have a fun weekend with the concert, shopping, getting to meet Coleen, and going to the lake.

I have a friend that uses something like your small cart thingie to move her dog crates around when she goes to competition. Can not wait to see what you do with yours. Yep, I think Anoymous is right about the small stand. You might could add slate tile for the top and it would be really cute.

We saw the B52s a couple of years ago. One of my favorite concerts! So much fun.

I was immersed in nostalgia for a moment. I had a doll like that when I was little. You found some wonderful items. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the memories. LOL, Connie

Always love looking at your treasures. Funny to read you went to Yakima. I was born there, and if you go there often, you will see my father's old business, Bonnie and Clydes Muffler and Tire Shop - or whatever it's called now.
