I’m back

Home from our family vacation to southern California.  We had an amazing time visiting with family,  taking in the sites and of course, no vacation would be complete for me without a little bit of shopping.  I have loads of pictures I need to sort through, but to get you started, I’ll show you what you really want to see.  The stuff.

My girl and I hit a few thrifts stores,  my dad and I went to the the uber fabulous Urban Barn in Escondito, I made a visit to a couple of my favorite shops in Temecula and also checked out a couple garage sales as well. Here are just some of the goodies I found to bring home.

These are my finds at the Urban Barn.  They were having a “street faire” the day I was there.  So much fun!  I met some adorable ladies and got to visit with some of my old friends too.  I’ll share more about the Urban Barn on a future post.

Vintage bling and doo dads found at Grandma’s Antique Mall in Temecula.  But the best thing I found there was this

Little doll cabinet. I sold two doll cabinets at Farm Chicks so I was really happy to find this one.  Not too excited about the gold paint, but that is an easy fix and the price was too good to pass up.

Everything in this picture except the silver napkin rings was found at a garage sale.  I also got a cute glass jar and some vintage shot gun cleaning kits for my hubby (not pictured). I found the napkin rings at a thrift store along with a few vintage slips (also not pictured).

I know it may not seem like a lot, but remember, I had to bring everything home on the airplane.  I did pass up an adorable white medicine cabinet for a great price, because I knew I wouldn’t be able to get it home in one piece.  Now I’m wishing I had tried.  Oh well.

I have a few more posts to share about my trip coming up.  It’s good to be home, but now I need to get busy cleaning and working on projects for my next show, Barn House Flea Market, July 31st.  Be back soon!

The little doll cabinet is just wonderful. I have a thing for little wooden drawers. The limitations of air travel are so awful!! Glad you are home safe and sound,
Annette

It's hard to do the self-control thing when shopping so far from home -- I usually end up shipping boxes back...

Urban Barn sounds *amazing*! Looking forward to Barn House too. Will you be at Expo?
