White Wednesday- A Little Makeover

For this week’s White Wednesday post, I thought I would show you a little makeover project I completed recently.  Remember this little cabinet with drawers I got at the flea market recently?DSCF0433

Well, after a little white paint and some glass knobs, here is the transformation.DSCF0592

So much better, I think.

So far this week, I have gotten together with some old friends I have connected with on Facebook. My good friend, Paula I have known since Jr. High.  We were Cheerleaders together for years.  We hadn’t seen each other in over 5 years so it was so nice catching up with her.

Yesterday I met up with my buddy Paul who I’ve known since college.  He is a big movie freak like I am and we went and saw “An Education,” one of the movies that has been nominated for an Oscar.  I thought it was good, but not great.

Today I will be heading over to both Monticello and Stars & Splendid to do a little clean up/update.  I have some new things I’ll be taking with me. As I mentioned in a recent post, I am really trying to scale back and get rid of things I don’t absolutely love.  So, I am parting with items from my own personal collections.  Out with the old, in with the new (old).

Hope you are all having a great week!

The drawers are wonderful. Isn't it hard to get rid of stuff? I try to do the same...it's hard for me.

What a great little storage cabinet. I love it painted. Where and for what do you plan to use it? I recently bought a huge old library card cabinet, and I've been trying to decide what to do with it. Should be a fun project, but I'm torn on exactly which direction to take with it. I'm seeking inspiration! :-)

That transformation is fabulous! I'm just curious...what kind of paint did you use? Is it a matte finish? I think your other readers besides me would like to give this a try....

The little drawers look so pretty painted white, and the glass knobs just finish it off.
Take care
