Hi all! Three posts in three days. I think that is a record for me. Today I thought I would join Kathleen of Faded Charm Cottage and do a "White Wednesday" post.
On Sunday I was out shopping with my blue haired girl and we stopped at a Goodwill in Portland. The first thing I usually do when stopping at Goodwill is to look in the glass case at the jewelry. On this particular day they had a big glass vase full of pearls. (If you've been reading my blog awhile, you probably know that I dig pearls) The best part is that the vase had a blue sticker which meant 50% off. Score! I didn't know exactly what was in the vase until I got home, but then I had fun sorting through the many pearl necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Here is just some of what was in the vase.
A few of my favorites.
I have the tendency to pick up pearl necklaces if I find them for a few dollars. You might say I have quite a few of them. I never really counted how many, but trust me, I have a lot. There's just something special about pearls, real or fake and if the necklaces have a rhinestone clasp, then I have to have it. I even have a small collection of rhinestone clasps. Someday I'll figure out what to do with them. Anyway, this is where my favorite pearl necklaces end up.

On Sallie Ann in the living room or
on Manni in my bedroom. I think Sallie Ann has a few more. One day for fun, I wore about 6 pearl necklaces to lunch with friends. It was pretty funny. I got lots of interesting looks and comments from my friends. I guess I just couldn't pull it off like Sallie Ann and Manni.

Hi there!
What a pretty post! Such eye candy!
I love pearls too! I remember when I was 12, my grandma gave me my first set of pearls. I don't know if they were real or not, but I loved them. I don't remember what happened to them. :( They look pretty on Salli and Manni. I have to get one of those dress forms. Seems eveyone is having such fun with them.
Oh I have a thing for pearls too. I'm amassing a huge bunch of them & then I will put them under a glass top on my coffee table...I'm almost there!
You really scored w/ the vase of pearls. I see them at my Goodwill all the time but they're always filled w/ junk beads...maybe I better start taking a closer look. ;o)
What a fantastic find, I love pearls and what a find, you definitely scored!
Pearls are a favorite of mine too. You have some very pretty one there.
I don't have a plan for mine yet. They look real pretty in a clear glass vase. Sandi
I wear pearls almost everyday...I have all shapes and sizes as well as colors...just like yours!! I had the biggest grin when I saw the fantastic haul you scored!!
how very fun and regal it would be to pull-off wearing layers of pearls. i'll bet you pulled it off and the onlookers thought they were seeing a real celebrity type! :)
(dig the use of "dig" -- i even have my 8 year old using that word! LOL)

I love pearls too.
I was looking at a necklace at a garage sale, and put it on to see where it hung. (It was kind of short, and did not know if it would even fit.)
Well, I could not get the clasp undone!!
I was going to get it anyway, so just wore it the rest of the day, with my old t-shirt, and garage sale jeans.
Kind of fun really.
Mostly i just lay them around the store.
blessings and thanks for sharing.

A girl can't have too many pearls!
But does Manni know that Sallie Ann has more?!

These are gorgeous! I love pearls so much. They are so romantic. I love to pair them with jeans. Just something about that combo makes me happy. Yours are gorgeous! What a fabulous find!

Oh my what a great find! You had a great day at the Goodwill. Who doesn't love an old string of pearls.
Hey Lisa~
Great post on white beauties. Loving all those pearls. Do you want me to add your name to the list of participants? Are you going to be at Oregon City this Sunday. If so, stop by and chat~I haven't seen you for a while.
Take care,
Kathleen
Lisa, I'm just like you. I pick them up from the Salvation Army when I can get them inexpensively, and then pile them up on "Big Mama" at home. It's also clear that she can pull them off, whereas I can't :)
You do have tons of pearls!

You are my sister from another mister! Love the pearls and the only reason you were getting looks was because you looked so fabulous in your pearls. WORKING IT!
Oooohhh..all so purty! Pearl necklaces sold really well for us this year at our shop. I have not found any lately, but now you have me thinking about them again!
Hi Lisa,
The pearls are great. My mom's name is Sallie (with the ie, not the y) so I love your mannequin too. Hope to see you!
