What I’ve been doing

No White Wednesday post for me today.  Just thought I would poke my head in and let you know what I’ve been up to lately.  My daughter is going on a school trip to Costa Rica for Spring Break so she signed up to do a little fund raising as we told her that she needs to contribute to the cost of this trip.  Her money making “gig” is delivering phone books and she has recruited me to be her driver.  So that is what I have been doing the last several days.  She ambitiously signed up for two routes and we are about 1/3 into the second route now.  Hopefully we can finish in the next couple days.

I did take a little break from delivering phone books to finish up a little project I started.  My son’s guitar teacher  and his wife had their first baby on Sunday (Valentine’s baby) and I wanted to make them a little gift.  They knew that they were having a baby girl so I was super excited to use some of my pretty pink rose fabric scraps to make this.

The pattern is really easy.  It’s called “log jammin".”  Similar to Log Cabin, but way easier as you just use strips in whatever size you want.  So much fun to be quilting again.

I love that this has both vintage and newer vintage style rose fabrics. Not your traditional baby quilt, but I’m sure they will be surprised by the sentiment.

Heading over to Stars & Splendid today to take a few things. I sold a table (yeah!) so I have to do a little rearranging.
